Dolphin Families,

It's that time of year again! Registration is now open for the Championship Meet at Georgia Tech. This is an optional, but fun opportunity for swimmers to compete in the same pool that hosted the 1996 Olympic Games - a pretty cool experience and a great way to wrap up the summer season!

All swimmers who register are guaranteed at least two individual events, and there may also be relay opportunities if enough swimmers from each age group sign up. Whether your swimmer is aiming for a personal best, looking to race against swimmers from across the county, or simply wants the chance to swim in an Olympic venue, this is always a memorable meet.

When: Thursday, June 25^th

Warm Up Time: We will be assigned a time between 8:00 and 9:30 am (Teams will not be allowed to enter the building until 30 minutes before their warm-up time)

Meet Start Time: 9:30am

Where: Georgia Tech Aquatic Center

Team Arrival: All athletes will meet at the front entrance to the CRC 20 minutes before our warm-up time. We will take a team photo, hand out credentials, and then walk in together. The entire team must enter together, so please be on time!

Entry Fee: $50 per swimmer, payable through the team website HERE. If you would prefer to pay by cash or check, you can bring it to Reeves at practice.  

You must also declare that your athlete is attending the meet under the Swim Meets/ Team Events tab. When you declare that they are coming, you will see a section that says “Notes for Coach”. In this section, please write down the TWO individual events that your athlete wants to swim at Georgia Tech. Relays will be added if there are enough swimmers from each age group.

Entry Deadline: Tuesday, June 16^th at noon

Seating: Our team will be assigned seating in the spectator area. A map of the venue can be found here.

Volunteers: Our team will be required to contribute volunteers for the meet.  Meet volunteers will have credentials that allow them on the deck. Not all parents will be allowed on the deck.  When you register your swimmer, please indicate if you can help with volunteering for one of the positions.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Margaret or Kristen!

Parking: Coaches and team vehicles will NOT receive free parking passes. Prepaid parking will be available in the W10 parking deck that is adjacent to the CRC. To park in this deck, you must prebuy a parking pass, you cannot pay at the gate. To prepurchase parking please visit https://gatech.parkmobile.io/events . Parking costs $18. Overflow parking for W10 and any day of parking for those who did not prepay is located at the W02 lot at 355 Ferst Drive (this is the student center lot).

Year-Round Swimmers: If your athlete is a year-round swimmer, this meet will now have observed status with Georgia Swimming and your times will count for qualification purposes at the USS Swimming Level. If you have a USA swimming number, please send them our way so we can get it uploaded into SwimTopia appropriately!
